Jitu Rai Win Gold & Gurpal Singh win Silver in Shooting in 2014 Commonwealth Games




Fifth in the medal standings at the end of Sunday's events with six gold medals, India will aim to win a clutch of gold medals on Day 5 of the 2014 Commonwealth Games on Monday and leapfrog past Canada (seven gold medals). Catch all the live updates here (SCHEDULE/RESULTS | Standings):
18:08 (IST): Chandrodaya Narayan Singh qualifies for men's hammer throw finals with best throw of 67.95m. Kamalpreet Singh narrowly misses out.
17:58 (IST): Jai Deep finishes fourth in men's discus throw F42/44 final. India narrowly missing out on a medal.
17:47 (IST): Shreyasi Singh and Seema Tomar finish 7th and 8th in women's trap qualification. They miss out on a semis berth.
17:43 (IST): Another medal slips out of India's grasp as they lose 3-1 to Nigeria in the table tennis men's team bronze medal match.
17:38 (IST): Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa lose the final game 29-27 to Sari/Yao. Singapore win 3-2 to clinch the badminton mixed team bronze medal.
17:33 (IST): Saurav Ghosal loses fourth game and match to England's Peter Barker in the squash men's singles bronze medal match.

17:18 (IST): India's Jitu Rai and Gurpal Singh win gold and silver respectively in 50m pistol men's event.

17:04 (IST): Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa lose their first game 21-17 vs Singapore's SM Sari and L. Yao. It is still tied 2-2 in the badminton mixed team event.
