ALLAHABAD: Around 10,000 laptop computers would be distributed by the state government to students of the district who passed Intermediate last year from different boards, informed the district magistrate(DM).
Presiding over a meeting of principals on Tuesday, district magistrate (DM) Rajshekhar said the laptops would be distributed to beneficiaries by the state chief minister at a date announced by the district administration.
In the first phase, the district administration has identified 10,000 beneficiaries after short-listing through the set procedure. Those on the waiting list would also be distributed at the next date.
He instructed the principals to complete work related to enlisting the 10,000 beneficiaries by March 22 on priority basis from their respective schools.On the other hand, district inspector of schools (DIOS) Mahendra Kumar Singh briefed the principals on the details of the ambitious scheme of the state government and the guidelines to follow.
